Arizona Animal Rescue and Sanctuary (AZARS) is in need of foster families to care for dogs and puppies recently rescued and awaiting adoption.  The reward is the unconditional love that only a rescued animal can give and the sincere gratitude of the AZARS organization. 

If you can take a foster dog or cat into your home and supply it with love and attention, please let us know. We will take care of all vet expenses at our participating vets. We will provide food and supplies when available. Help us to SAVE LIVES!

Our main need is FOSTER HOMES!  Each and every dog or cat we can put in a foster home means another life can we can save! It's easy to be a foster family.............you take in the dog, cat, puppy or kitten and treat it as if it were your own pet. Give them lots of TLC, get to know their likes/dislikes, and let them have a loving place to stay until they are adopted.

There are some pets who need to be nursed back to health and the best place for them is a caring foster home.  All vet bills are paid for by Arizona Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.  This experience is so rewarding knowing that you were involved in assisting a sick cat/dog get better!

Most foster pets do need standard medical done prior to being ready for adoption and we may need their foster family to take them to the vet.  All vet bills are paid for by Arizona Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.  We also ask the foster families to bring their foster pet to adoption day once they are ready for their new family!

There are a lot of other ways to volunteer your time to help Arizona Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.

Here are just a few:

Adoption Counselors - Help to interview potential adopters to see if the pet they are interested in will be a good match.

Transport - Transport dogs or cats to/from vet appointments, from the County Shelter to us, to/from adoption day or a special event, etc.

Adoption Day Assistance - Speak with the public about the dogs and cats we have up for adoption, take the dogs for potty breaks, help to keep litter boxes clean, set-up and take-down, give the pets up for adoption pets and loving.

Special Events - We attend various special events throughout the year.  This gives the animals in our care extra adoption options and let's the public know who we are.  Volunteers are always needed at these events to help in various ways including setting up booths, speaking with the public, helping to sell merchandise and running activities.
